ASERCOM Symposium
As a part of ASERCOM, we are glad to invite you to participate in the Symposium "Sustainability across the cold chain" which will focus on how to achieve sustainability with energy efficiency and to ensure reliable data with certification. The Symposium will be held in Nuremberg at Chillventa exhibition and it is scheduled the day before of the opening.

Cubigel Compressor’s Christmas Holidays
Barcelona, December 9th, 2009
Cubigel Compressors, S.A., for the second year, joints a supportive cause with a small contribution to "Fundación Trabajo Empresa y Discapacidad" (Job, Business and Disability Foundation).
More and more, companies focus their efforts to get involved in supportive causes, creating in this way more consciousness in terms of Social Corporate Responsibility. We have decided once more this year, to take part of this kind of projects and donate the amount of the traditional client’s seasonal gift to Fundación Trabajo Empresa y Discapacidad (TEDIS), a Foundation linked to the TEB, an institution with no profit motive in mind, which helps to the social and labor integration of mental disabled people.
In Cubigel Compressors, we have already collaborated with this Institution through out the production of corporate supportive merchandising, handcrafted by disabled people involved with this Institution. Furthermore, we want to extend the seasonal holiday’s joy and make our customers part of it and celebrate Christmas together with this small contribution for this handicapped collective.
Last 2nd of December, we gave the contribution to the Fund in one of the TEB’s facilities located in Sant Andreu in Barcelona. Representing TEDIS, we count with the attendance of its secretary Mr. Artur Feijóo, and the Director of the TEB Center, Mr. Roger Jerez. Also, Cubigel Compressors’ CEO, Mr. Mark Johnston visited with great interest the Center.
The TEB, also known as "Talleres Escuela Barcelona" (Barcelona’s Workshop Center) is the consolidation of a project that pursues - by specifics jobs and programs -, the employment and adaptation of mental disabled people to the society. With 4 production establishment, the TEB currently employs more that 700 workers, among them, 600 disabled people supervised by 100 professionals.

January 29th, 2009. - With date January 28th, 2009 the ACC Group has sold ACC Spain S.A. - Commercial Refrigeration Business Unit - to AIAC, American Industrial Acquisition Corporation.
With this spin off, ACC Spain, S.A. has changed its name and a new company and brand are born: Cubigel Compressors, S.A. The new company has a strong financial position and the complete support of the new shareholder to continue the industrial plan and investments launched in the last years.
Cubigel Compressors, S.A. objectives are to design, manufacture, sell and distribute a wide range of compressors and condensing units suitable for the commercial refrigeration market requirements worldwide. It counts with a strong know-how and expertise in manufacturing compressors since 1962, when Unidad Hermética was born. The company went through to different acquisitions by Electrolux Compressors and ACC Group, becoming now a renewed Cubigel Compressors.
AIAC is a privately-held industrial group with a long-term mission to build strong companies. With an extensive expertise mainly in the automotive and aerospace sectors, nowadays, AIAC owns 29 manufacturing units located in North America, Europe and Asia, employs more than 3.000 people, and reaches a turnover of €650 Mill.
